“Big Data” has created “Big Buzz” -- but what does it mean for payments? Is there a specific role for payments data, or is it “just another input” in an organization’s data repository? Will Big Data be the “holy grail” of revenue generation as value in payments shifts from payment facilitation to purchase facilitation? Join PayCLT on Friday, 16 October for a session with J. Paul Leavell of Charlotte Metro Federal Credit Union to discuss how financial institutions may capitalize on payments data to better reach and serve clients.

The payments industry is going through significant changes. This impacts not only participants in the industry (issuers, networks, acquirers, etc.) but also those on the sending and receiving end of payments. As part of the payCLT networking event on October 8th, 2015 (6:00pm start) we will be hosting a panel that will be discussing how these and other changes are viewed from a payment recipient (merchant) perspective, consisting of:
Jay Plueger – VP of Strategic Initiatives at AvidXchange Josh Brant – CEO at Allegiance Merchant Services Amy Chichetti – VP, Product Manager at Wells Fargo Wholesale Merchant Solutions Sherry Macy - Director, Payment Card Operations at Lowe's Bill Hutchins - Senior Accounting Manager Payment Card Operations at Lowe's payCLT panelist facilitators include Dean Nolan and Philip Sprague, who will help guide the discussion with the panelists concerning merchant payment trends. Retailers and B-to-B Vendors in both the physical and digital space, are being impacted by these rapidly changing payment trends. Some changes are forced due to regulation (PCI, EMV) etc. while other changes are related to new technology (mobility) or new payment options (MCX, same day ACH, mobile wallets), and changing preferences of consumers and businesses who are originating payments (migrating off checks to electronic payments). This evening network event will include panelists representing a wide range of C-to-B and B-to-B merchant payment experiences. Each panelist has in depth knowledge working directly with vendors and retailers ranging from international re-sellers to local business entrepreneurs. The panelists will discuss their unique perspective of merchant trends as they navigate the changing landscape. This event is sponsored by AvidXchange, the leading solution provider of account payable products for mid-sized companies. Recruiters will be on hand to discuss company vision and values as the company is rapidly growing their Charlotte presence. The event will include appetizers and beverages. If you plan to attend, please register as soon as possible. |
