The Hartsema Group has been building and facilitating corporate customer strategic advisory groups for six years. In this session, Doug Hartsema will share a selection of the common feedback, ideas and advice from a broad cross-section of corporate customers of financial service providers. Hear what they love and what they hate, what they seek and what they avoid, how they shop and how they buy, what they value and what they disregard – and just for fun, how they actually select their financial services providers. Doug Hartsema Doug is the managing partner of The Hartsema Group – a consulting practice focused exclusively on the development and orchestration of strategic customer advisory groups. Each of the five partners in the firm have extensive banking and payments backgrounds and a combined 125 years of experience. Since 2013, The Hartsema Group has worked with more than 25 advisory groups and 485 advisory group members. Doug grew up at the original Wachovia Bank and held various positions in operations, trust and treasury services. He was the head of the Treasury Services Division for several years in the late 90’s. Doug left Wachovia for a short time at a FinTech company, which turned into a role at J.P.Morgan Chase where he ran the Receivables and Information Processing business for almost ten years. He rounded out his banking career at Huntington Bank beginning in 2010 accepting the challenge to put Huntington back on the map of significant cash management banks.
